Types of Scholarships
HAN University offers two main types of scholarships for international students:
- HAN NEL Scholarship
- Honors Scholarship
HAN NEL Scholarship (Formerly known as John Holland Scholarship)
- The HAN NEL Scholarship provides a total funding of $12,500. In the first semester, students receive $2,500, followed by another $2,500 in the second semester. Subsequently, students can receive $2,500 annually for the remaining three years of their studies.
Honors Scholarship
The Honors Scholarship does not require a separate application. This scholarship is awarded by the academic board of the chosen program based on your outstanding academic achievements in your first year. The payment starts with €2,500 in the second year, followed by €2,500 for each subsequent academic year.
Scholarships for Master's Degree Programs
HAN NEL Scholarship
- For the master's degree program, students receive €2,500 in the first semester and another €2,500 in the second semester.
Honors Scholarship
- The Honors Scholarship for the master's degree program is a one-time payment of €2,500 in the second semester.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the HAN University scholarships, you must meet the following criteria:
- You are not a citizen of the EU/EEA.
- You do not hold a degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands.
- You have applied and been accepted into a full-time English-taught degree program at HAN University.
- Proof of English proficiency: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT minimum of 90, or Cambridge Certificate (CAE or CPE).
